Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Waterview Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare. • Assist in planning, organizing, and conducting physical therapy programs for residents who have experienced a decrease in functions.
• Perform treatment programs for assigned residents under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Report resident progress in meetings as required or appropriate.
• Consult with other rehabilitation team members to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
• Provide residents with equipment as necessary.
• Chart notes in a descriptive manner that reflects the therapy provided to residents and their response to the therapy.Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Licensed in New York State as a Physical Therapist Assistant; license in good standing.
  • Previous skilled nursing facility experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and cooperate with all departments and staff.
  • Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
